The Green Thread Accelerator
Designing and Running a Conscious Fashion Accelerator programme for the London School of Economics (LSE)
Ongoing
-
The Ask: Creating and running an early-stage accelerator programme focused on conscious fashion and the circular economy for LSE Generate - the LSE’s entrepreneurial centre. This will be the first university-led global programme of this kind, supporting two cohorts in person per year: one in Mumbai and one in Paris.
This entails:
Analysing and mapping the conscious fashion space (opportunities, challenges, trends & key stakeholders) with a special focus on Western Europe and India.
Designing the programme to support conscious fashion founders, ensuring they leave the accelerator with additional resources and clear opportunities for growth.
Finding sponsors and building key partnerships to support the programme and our startups.
Leading on some of the impact design and measurement workshops.
Collaborating with nonprofits and schools in both locations to give underprivileged youth access to mentoring and conscious fashion training through our programme.
Defining key impact metrics to monitor the programme's impact and success.
Ensuring that EDI practices and safety are at the core of all operations.
ALLY App
Turning Local Businesses into Safe Space Through Tech-based Learning
Closed
-
The Idea: To equip customer-facing staff members in businesses on the high street with the tools and skills they need to address and prevent harassment and abusive behaviours in their premises. Training consisted in animated videos, quizzes and completion tests. Users also had access to mental-health support and emergency numbers through the app. All participating venues received an ALLY sticker that helped customers identify them as safe spaces.
Thousands of customer -facing employees trained on ALLY between 2022 and 2024. Trainees were from 7 different industries including Retail, F&B and Hospitality with clients like Hyatt Regency and Seven Dials Market.
The app was available in the UK and in Thailand in English and Thai language with relevant cultural adaptations to the training for each market.
ALLY received a UN women award in 2022 and won the Smart City Innovation Lab for Thailand in 2023 (Seedstars x UN ESCAP).
